Can You Drug Someone Into Health?

If you cannot give drugs to a healthy person and expect him to remain healthy, why would you think that giving drugs to a sick person would restore his health?

You cannot drug someone into health. You can sandbag a patient's nervous system into insensitivity, you can prevent his liver from forming essential cholesterol, and much more with drugs. But these treatments actually harm the organs effected and completely neglect the underlying cause of the dis-ease. You can "lose" your pathological symptoms with drugs but you will also lose your health. The more drugs given, the more the functions of the body are impaired. There is no real cure short of removing the causes.

All reputable health care practitioners should encourage their patients to improve their underlying health so that they can make their continued reliance on pharmaceutical medications unnecessary.
